Big Wedge Golf Handicaps: Callux, Calfreezy and the Crew Ranked

2026-11-03 · Handicaps

Big Wedge Golf is one of the most watched golf channels in the UK, with 862,000 subscribers tuning in for Mini Majors, team cups and a lot of very loud celebrations. The golf ranges from genuinely decent to gloriously chaotic, which is a big part of the appeal.

So how good are they actually? We track six Big Wedge regulars on the Handicap Tracker leaderboard. Here's every one of them, ranked by handicap, as of 3 November 2026.

Harry and Calfreezy lead the way

Harry is the best golfer in the group on our numbers, at 12.8. He also has the most rounds on record of the six, as he turns up in W2S videos as well as Big Wedge ones, and he's coming down: his handicap has dropped by 2.1 shots over the last month, after an 18-hole round at Heron Country Club in the Teed Off Summer Major.

Calfreezy is right behind on 13.1, just three tenths back. He has played every Mini Major so far, and his best Mini Major nines are among the best scores the group has posted.

Callux: 22.5

Callux is the name most people search for, and he sits on 22.5, third in the group. His rounds swing a long way from event to event, which is exactly what you'd expect from a mid-20s golfer: a good nine can come out of nowhere, and so can a bad one. A couple of tidy nines would bring his number down quickly.

Randy, Simon and Josh

Randy (25.1) and Simon (26.5) are close together in the middle of the pack, Simon's number comes from five rounds: four Mini Majors and the Spanish Open in Marbella.

Josh is on 30.3, but his most recent round is a good story. In "Can Zerkaa Break 100 With a Pro Caddie?!" at Silvermere he went round in 99, 28 over par: mission accomplished, just. If he keeps that up, his handicap will come down fast.

Who wins the trophies?

Here's the twist: the best golfer doesn't always lift the trophy. Harry has the lowest handicap in the group, but the titles have gone to Calfreezy, who won the first Mini Major and the latest one, and to Simon, who won Mini Majors 2 and 3 back to back from a 26.5 handicap. Josh, on 30.3, won the Spanish Open in Marbella.

Mini Majors 1 and 4 to Calfreezy, 2 and 3 to Simon, and the Spanish Open to Josh.

The latest was Mini Major 4, back at Centurion Club in June, and it was Calfreezy's day:

  2. 2Harry+10
  3. 3Callux+14
  4. 4Simon+22
  5. 5Randy+24
  6. 6Josh+29

Nine holes, to par. Calfreezy's +8 was also the best nine of the day.

Where their numbers come from

Most Big Wedge golf is played as nine holes at a time: the Mini Majors at Centurion Club, Doha and Hadley Wood, the Spanish Open in Marbella and the $10,000 UK Open at The Leatherhead Club. Each nine counts, with the other nine worked out from how the player usually scores, and allowing for how tough the course and tees were. Full 18-hole rounds, like the Big Wedge Cup at The Grove and Josh's Silvermere round, count as they are.

With only five to ten rounds each, these handicaps can move a lot after one video, so they're worth checking after every new Mini Major.

How they compare

The six average 21.7. That puts Big Wedge at the other end of the leaderboard from Good Good, whose members average a plus 1.3, but much closer to the average club golfer. For a lot of viewers, that's the point: these are rounds that look a lot like their own Saturday morning.
