Royal Troon Golf Club, situated in Troon, South Ayrshire, Scotland, is a prestigious links course with a storied history. Established in 1878, the club began with just six holes, designed by Charlie Hunter, a protégé of Old Tom Morris and the greenskeeper at nearby Prestwick Golf Club. By 1884, under the guidance of club professional George Strath, the course expanded to 18 holes. Over the years, contributions from notable figures like Willie Fernie and James Braid further refined the layout, solidifying its reputation as a challenging and esteemed venue.

Royal Troon's Old Course has been a regular host of The Open Championship, first welcoming the tournament in 1923. The course is renowned for its iconic holes, notably the par-3 8th, known as the Postage Stamp, famed for its diminutive green and formidable bunkers, and the par-5 6th, the Turnberry, one of the longest holes in championship golf.

Beyond professional championships, Royal Troon has embraced the digital age, featuring prominently in golf-related content on platforms like YouTube. Golf enthusiasts and content creators often showcase the course's unique challenges and storied history, bringing its legacy to a global audience.
