Closest to the pin
Before a ball was struck, the captains hit one shot each on a 100-yard hole. Ruffels won it after an appeal and a tape measure, which earned $5,000 for every player on his team and the pick of opponent. He chose Finch, which left Dalke against Bryan.

Day 1 was at Ozarks National: eight 2v2 scramble matches in the morning (Episode 1) and eight alternate shot matches in the afternoon (Episode 2) for each head-to-head, nine holes each, one point a match and no handicaps. The team with more points goes through to Day 2, and a tie goes to sudden-death alternate shot on the 18th. There's also $500,000 for the first hole in one on each day's Reese's par 3.
