Shinnecock Hills: How Golf YouTubers Scored

No course on our leaderboards has seen more golf YouTubers than Shinnecock Hills. As of 29 October 2026, we've logged 30 rounds there, all from the U.S. Open tees, as creators lined up to test themselves before the 2026 U.S. Open came to Long Island. Nobody broke par. The best round was a 71, one over.

About Shinnecock Hills

Shinnecock Hills Golf Club sits in Southampton, on the eastern end of Long Island, New York. It dates back to 1891, was one of the five clubs that founded the USGA and is often called the oldest incorporated golf club in America. Its layout was shaped over the years by several great architects, William Flynn among them.

The course rolls across sandy hills close to the Atlantic, and it's the nearest thing America has to a true links. It's open to the wind, the ground plays firm, and every shot has to be precise. It has hosted the U.S. Open many times, and in recent years it has become a favourite stop for golf creators too, including through the U.S. Open Creator Classic.

The tees they played

Every one of the 30 rounds was played from the U.S. Open tees: 6,940 yards, par 70. It's one of the toughest tests in golf: even a scratch golfer would expect to finish around five over, which is why a round in the low 70s here is a brilliant score.

The best scores

Mac Boucher posted the best round at Shinnecock with a 71, just one over par. Roger Steele is second with a 72, and he did it in a one-ball challenge, trying to get round without losing his only ball.

Four creators are tied third on 73. Grant Horvat, Wesley Bryan and George Bryan played together for a Major Cut video, with Grant and Wesley both shooting 73 and George 78. Micah Morris and long-drive star Kyle Berkshire also shot 73 in their own videos.

Three more shot 74: Marissa Wenzler of Good Good Girls, Peter Finch and Zac Radford. That makes nine rounds under 75 in all.

By the numbers

Group days at Shinnecock

Some of the most fun rounds came in groups. Bob Does Sports held their own major there: Fat Perez shot 75, Joey Cold Cuts 83 and Bobby Fairways 99. Fore Play took on PGA Tour winner Kevin Kisner, trying to hold on to a 25-shot head start: Kisner shot 75, Frankie Borrelli 91, Riggs 94 and Trent Ryan 99.

Rick Shiels and Erik Anders Lang both shot 77, Josh Kelley 76, Ben Kruper 79 and Evan Thompson 80. Chaz took on the tips and shot 94, and Aaron Chewning of St. André Golf shot 88 in a round with Mike "Sonny" Kollet, who shot 86. Two of the videos even have a hole-in-one in the title: the Major Cut round and the Good Good Girls' visit.
